As another year draws to close, we’d like to thank all our members, sporting and social, for another successful year for Bishop’s Stortford Community Sports Club.
We now have more members than ever and 1400 Privilege Card holders.
Over the past year, the new junior cricket pitch has been completed – which we expect to benefit about 400 youngsters each season and BSCSC has acquired land in Ash Grove that can be used for additional sports facilities in the future. Also, the new Padel court will soon be completed – bringing an exciting and fast growing new sport to Cricketfield Lane.
In the clubhouse the new TV screens have been a big hit with those of you who like to come down to watch sport at the club.
Behind the scenes a lot of work has been done developing the plans for the proposed new pavilion. We will be sending out more information soon, including a first view of what the interior of the pavilion might look like but if you would like to learn more about this exciting project please look for the new pavilion page on our website.
To make the new pavilion a reality we need to raise a total of about £1.8 million, towards which we have received pledges of over £700,000 – including a recent generous contribution of £100,000 by our primary supplier, G & G Gallos of Braintree.
While we continue to explore all fundraising avenues, much of the remainder will need to be donated or loaned by our members. Click here for details of how you can help and the many benefits that benefactors can receive in return for their generosity, including upto an extra 10% discount on Privilege Card purchases.
If you are able to, please make a pledge to support this exciting project. If you already have made a pledge, many thanks for your generosity.
With your support we could start construction of the new Pavilion in September 2024 but to do that we will need many more of you to make generous pledges.
If you want to be part of history and leave a lasting sporting legacy please pledge today by clicking here.
Happy New Year!
